That's a shame because they're both in a "change" phase. Not that they chose it---it goes with being 11 and 9 I guess, and in Julia's case it has a lot to do with the fact that's she's now taller than me, funnier than me, infinitely more tech-savvy than me and the owner of some fine boots I'm craving.

I really wish I had taken a photo of Emma's end-of-the-day-with-an-acrylic-hood head. She looked like a dandelion just before it becomes a windy-puff.
Those boots are pretty spiffy, but I can't believe that too many people are funnier than thou.
