I come to terms, maybe, with an unrecognized trait

I am not an animal-lover.  I am not an animal-hater either.  I just always thought that I was kind of neutral about any animal other than a cat.  That thought was in my head this morning, but it didn't feel right.  It didn't seem to be a thought supported by actions.

So I took a walk around our 800 ft square apartment, and found 3 giraffes, a duck, an exotic sort of heron, two elephants, two origami herons, a bluebird, a bear and about 40 cats.  None of these is useful, except the duck, which is a bronze and amber lamp, and two of the giraffes, which are teeny boxes.  Except for the heron, the bear and one of the giraffes, none of these is over 4 inches high.

Does this excuse my lapse in judgment?

  1. In my 900 sq ft house I have too much of everything, but the worst part is over 700 skeins of various yarns and threads. Might be closer to 900, haven't counted lately.

  2. You got along well with Mollie, though.

  3. Maybe it has something to do with inanimate???? I wouldn't dwell too much on it. You might end up with a bunch of live ones and the vet bills would escalate far more than you can imagine, believe me.
