What's Fun and Memory-worthy and Incredibly Tiring?

Friday night we had a long-overdue 3-child sleepover.

from left, Julia, (behind blue pillow) Dave, Robyn in yellow and Emma

That was just the practice; this was a clearer picture of the immediate future:

A picture of me, exactly as I looked that evening:
just before I passed out the "Drumsticks"

THIS, rapidly led to:

THIS: (bwaaaaahaaaahhhhhaaaaaha)

Which I had hoped would, in the fullness of time, lead to bed and sleep.  And in the fullness of time, it did.

In the morning, the girls show Dave their appreciation for his generosity and devotion to their well-being:
Dave slept in that bed, Robyn behind him,and me, Julia and Emma (for 3 short hours)  together in a queen-sized bed

This photo was shot from the unpulled-out sofabed across the room, where I languished, (for another 3 short hours, pillowless

There is never a sleepover without a tent---this was a camping experience in the jungle, with bears, babies,  Emma and Robyn on a canoe with major-sized paddles fighting alligators, and a return to the jungle as invisible travelling monsters

At last, after jungle treks, muffin-making, toybox-emptying and a quick crafts-time, Julia and I headed to the market and returned with this amazing outfit, which goes perfectly with my turquoise gladiator sandals:

What I want to know now is where were all those pillows while I was sleeping on the sofa?

  1. It looks you and Dave had a fantastic time with your girls. An adventure to be sure and not one they (or you) will forget.
