Things that have surprised me today:
- the powerful tug to my heart when I saw this photo of Robyn wearing a bunny hat we bought her on our trip
- Pride parades in Vietnam (their first) and in Uganda (where homosexuality is punishable by death, and people walked anyway)
- a huge mutant cricket/tadpole who was living under my potted plant
- the fact that when I wear floppy pants and a floppy top I look only 3 and a half feet tall (but sort of cuddly)
- that I've forgotten for the 4th day to nag Sarah about downloading photos and videos I wanted to post
- the chicken sandwich I made right after the cheese sandwich I made when I finished my yoghurt
- the wonderful thrill I felt when I looked out at the park site outside our house and saw that they were working on the landscaping
- the puzzlement I felt when I looked out at the park site and saw that they were doing the landscaping before the concreting
- that Dave has been reading since 7 this morning; actually that shouldn't surprise me; on vacation he read Room, Divergent, Insurgent, and the first two books in the Chaos Walking series
- my almost inability to finish a not-mini Magnum Double Caramel ice cream bar
- the way I miss my friends who were my blogging friends before I started being such an unreliable blogger/reader
I love this post. I'm with you on the blogging thing and so are all my other blogging friends. We've all sort of fizzled in that respect.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that your park was still unfinished.
