Avoid hazards, even if it takes 4 years

Today is the day we're moving my "office" into the bedroom, and away from the kitchen counter which has so many hazards, like wine, chocolate, grease, water etc. for my laptop.

Dave and I took a deep breath and ordered a desk and bench from an online broker of many kinds of goods, including furniture.  We picked up the 80 lb box yesterday and despite my very broad hints about my anxiety, we are just now going to open it up.

I have high hopes that the desk, and a recent mind-boggling review of my priorities,  will lead to a more regular production of blogposts.  I really get a lot out of blogging, and recently I've been lax, but troubled about it.  I did a check to make sure I was still blogging for myself---to know what I think about stuff---and it still feels right.

Toolbox, Zero bars and high hopes going into the bedroom at the moment.

  2. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP! This has to be the Nth time I wrote a clever response, pressed 'Preview' to clean up the typos and be sure it was family rated, only to have it disappear into the ether. Does anyone know where they store all those 'ether' bunnies?
What I intended to say was, in essence: I assembled the des. You should have told me where your secret stash of dark choco Zero bars is. On 2nd thought you shouldn't cause I lose my ability to count when eating MY SHARE of the Zero bars in our shared secret place.
Hey, maybe the internet police deliberately lose all posts over 120 characters. Now I have to try to be clever in 120 characters. That doesn't sound like fun, except for readers who look at my comment out of courtesy to you. Hmmmm!
    Love, your other fraction!

  3. Hope your desk works out. My back and legs do not tolerate sitting at a desk for long periods of time. I have two laptops, once of which sits on mmy corner desk, unused, except it travels with my well used laptop, so my husband as a laptop too.

I love ZERO bars but they are very hard to find in my neck of the woods.

I blog from a liftchair with many amenities at my side --like coffee, phones, TV, external hard drives, camera nearby, and a medicine cabinet full of emergency meds.

Good luck on the new desk and may it inspire all the blogs you desire. But I find I have to have small reprieves regardless of where I am.

  4. So ... there really IS a Dave, and he's not just a figment of your imagination ... Prince Charming as he seems to be. Heh!

I've said it before but what the hell, I'll say it again: I'd miss you if you didn't blog anymore.
